a) To unite and organize the working and retired Drugs Control Officers from Indian States, Union Territories and CDSCO, with an object of coordinating their activities for establishment of social justice and regulating the relations of the officers with government agencies.
b) To safeguard and promote interest of its members all over the country
c) To redress the grievances of the members.
d) To promote a sense of fraternity, feeling of belonging and brotherhood amongst its members.
e) To cooperate, accept affiliations and federate with the officers associations, federations, and confederations in the country where similar objectives are seen with international bodies.
f) To achieve professional excellence through better coordination amongst its members.
g) To offer better services to the public.
h) To make dedicated efforts for welfare of its members.
i) To conduct seminars, webinars, social activities, competitions, quiz programs etc. time to time.
j) To take up any other activity conducive to the betterment in the discharge of their functions effectively and effeciently.

After a prolonged wait, the social media platform DCO India- Drugs Control Forurn initially launched in the year 2019 following brutal murder of Dr. Neha Shoree. the woman drugs control officer at Kharar in Mohali, who was shot dead allegedly by a christ in March 2019, by Sri. Lalit Goel (Hariyana), Sri. G.Koteshwar Rao. (Telangana) and Sri. Rakesh Dahiya (Hariyana) with a group membership of about 1500 working and retired drugs control officers across india including state/UT and central (CDSCO) Al these days this platform has been working mainly for the Welfare of the member crugs control officers and their families conducting work shops, seminars, webinars quiz programmes etc. The name of the organization will remain the same as Drugs Control Officers (I) Welfare Association, but each state branch committee is free to add the name of the state along with the association name like Telangana Drugs Control Officers Welfare Association etc

The First Executive Committee meeting will be held at Jaipur, Rajasthan on 12 November 2022 to discuss the future activities and plans to be conducted in next 2 years.
